EMERGENCE

Last year EMERGENCE invaded SXSW with panel discussions, parties, a film screening, and Detroit by Southwest (DXSW) and Women in Hip Hop showcases that the Metro Times recently called two of the best received shows of the festival. This year, we're back in Austin, TX with even more goodies: two panel discussions, a screening of Invincible's latest film, and four concerts. This year's SXSW will also premier the Born in Flames Tour featuring Invincible, Jean Grae, and Tamar-kali. Born in Flames is comprised of some of the most cutting edge independent women artists in music today. Together they will be playing shows nationally beginning in the fall, but if you're in town for SXSW this is your opportunity to see them first. Their showcase, along with the rest of EMERGENCE's events, are not to be missed!
